Create yourself with love

Jovana Dudić

Psychotherapist under supervision

Welcome to my webpage!

Every person who embarks on the process of working on himself is brave because he/she chooses the path of a hero who embarks on one of the greatest challenges of life: facing his own fears, weaknesses, pains, feeling that this is the only way to reach the goal of growth and personality healing. As a therapist, I give you support and help you go through this process safely, feeling there is someone who has faith in you, someone who sees your capacities and believes in your ability to use them for your own and the common good.

Healing, integration of personality, awareness of your inner potentials and resources, development of skills to use them in everyday life and accomplish yourself as a unique, in its uniqueness self-confident and independent personality - that's what I wish you all!

   About Me:

I live with faith in the Good in people and their inner creative strength to build their personalities independently while responsibly take care of their being and the living world that surrounds them. I feel a deep connection to Nature that has taught me the powers of regeneration, growth, life and death cycles, and how to survive by relying on the intuition and instincts it has given us. I am grateful to all the people who have shown me faith and support on this life path, and especially to those who taught me what it means to love and to be loved, as well as the key role that Love has in the process of fighting for survival.

At one point, when I looked back, I realized that there was a part of me that was created independently of family and social heritage, built on decisions and choices I made on my own and on a readiness to deal with them. I consider that part of my being my living work of art and I call it Nola Bardi. For me, this name is a symbol of one's ability to create itself using all available resources that nourish growth, which one finds both in its inner and the surrounding world. If Nola Bardi would send a message to the world, she would say:

Yes, you create yourself,

and while you do it,

create yourself with Love.

    Professional development

In 2010 I started my two years education in the field of psychotherapy at SATA (Serbian Association for Transactional Analysis). After finishing the studies at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, and a short stay in Australia, the conditions for continuing the education reappeared. I decided to continue my professional development in Timisoara within RATA (Romanian Association for Transactional Analysis) where I had the opportunity to collaborate with top, international trainers in the field of transactional analysis, such as John Heath, Lis Heath, Ioana Duma and Sorin Duma, who for me still represent an example of the highest level of reliability and ethics in work and a model to which I always gladly return. Dr. Bach's flower remedies training opened the space for the spirit, energy and wisdom of nature to step into the therapeutic space of my work with clients. The part that was missing to combine the love of psychotherapy with the love of art, the language of symbols of the unconscious, dance and body language through movement, I researched through workshops in the field of expressive art therapy (EAT) and body psychotherapy. Integrating all the spheres through which, developing as a person, I wanted to explore myself, now as a therapist I can offer to my clients.

My current status is a psychotherapist under the supervision in the domain of TA. As a Bach practitioner, I hold a third degree diploma (L3), and I have completed additional training in the application of the Bach remedies and art therapy techniques in working with children held by Edna Dvir, holistic psychotherapist from Israel. Both certificates are international and approved by the Bach Center in England. I gained knowledge of body psychotherapy techniques at the workshops Body in Psychotherapy and Trauma, a Way of Recovery organized by the Body-Psychotherapy Center in Belgrade (TP Centar). I am a member of European Association for TA (EATA), Balkan Association for TA (TAUS), the Association of Psychotherapists of Serbia and the Association for Psychotherapy and Coaching of Serbia. In the field of volunteer work, I give my contribution through cooperating with the Humanitarian Center in Novi Sad (NSHC).

"I feel that scattered pieces have reunited"

Sessions for Adults

"Knowing different therapeutic techniques gives you the ability to successfully dive through the inner universes of your clients", my therapist said when I excitedly mentioned to her that I had enrolled in an expressive art therapy course. My experience so far has confirmed these words of support. While working with clients, transactional analysis provides me with the structure and safe boundaries for therapeutic work, art therapy opens up space for exploring the unconscious and the emotions hidden behind the conscious mind, while body psychotherapy techniques help the client connect with the body and understand its speech.

The process that takes place in the session brings the integration of insights gained from the sphere of emotions, mind and body. "I feel that scattered pieces have reunited" are the words spoken by one of the clients at the end of the session, which best describe the moment when the integration happens.

How do sessions work?

Psychotherapy sessions can take place in the therapeutic space in the city center or online and they last for 60 minutes. If you want to combine work with Bach remedies and psychotherapy, the session can last up to 75 minutes. The session can take the form of a conversation, but if needed, therapeutic cards, art material (used for drawing, sculpting, writing, painting, etc.) or physical movement can also be introduced. I monitor the client's process and give the client space to choose the means to help him/her gain the insight he/she is searching for.

Many years of practicing Latin American folklore such as capoeira angola, Brazilian and Cuban dances, experience of living on different continents, respect for, and desire to learn from other cultures, have opened the door to developing many skills, particularly those language and interpersonal. I am happy that, with the advanced knowledge of Portuguese, English, French and Spanish, I can offer sessions to clients from all over the world, especially to those who live in Serbia and who would like to have live sessions, in their native language.

If you want to learn more about the methods I use in my work, I invite you to visit the pages where you can read about the history of each method, the personalities of its founders and the philosophies on which they base their values, in which I also believe.
